God’s Word calls us to obediently “tithe” (give 10%) of what He gives us, to do His work. “Offerings” given to God are gifts above and beyond our tithes. Tithes and offerings are vital to the health of Our Church and provide for all the areas of ministry and outreach. When you give your tithe and offerings cheerfully to God you participate in His Great Commission work in our region through Skagit Valley Baptist Church.
We support missionaries around the state, nation, and world through our missions offerings. We give by faith, and understand that before faith comes sacrifice. We encourage a faith commitment by each member before God for the cause of world wide missions in addition to the faithful giving of the tithe for our ministry throughout the Skagit County and surrounding areas. Consider God's Word:
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:.”
